Legend of Thunder

_{Note, I'm unsure if anyone was notified of the update on this drawing because of that recent change that has been reverted that didn't allow us to show updates to watchers. I do apologize for any inconvenience or if I pointlessly bothered anyone >_<}

Update 2: I touched this up in real life with darker pencils because I gave it away. I made it a lot darker because I felt it needed more contrast, and also changed the clouds a bit, making them less in focus, then gave it a more decent scan and threw on a bit of a gradient in photoshop.

Update1: Was finally able to take a photo of it, it looks much better, though still some things disappeared.



Raikou - Legend of Thunder

It is said it symbolizes the lighting that struck the tower, Entei being the fire that burned the tower, and Suicune, the rain that put out the fire.

The pose was based on a wonderful wooden sculpture of a saber-tooth tiger found at natureartists.com:

Now, I always thought Raikou got a bit less Headdress than the rest of the clan. I mean, Suicune's got that awesome crystal thing, and Entei's got a crown, and Raikou gets this... helmet? Cx

Nevertheless, I haven't done much work on him, and I liked how the Entei I last drew came out:





I know it looks really REALLY strange, and it's mostly due to my crazy idea of how to draw hair, and the horrible scan second :3
